Get started on a master's degree

The Marine Corps College of Distance Education and Training has partnered with multiple universities to provide graduates of our 8900 series Command and Staff College Distance Education Program and 8650 series Expeditionary Warfare School Distance Education Program, the opportunity to earn credits towards a Master’s Degree. CDET has partnered with the University of Oklahoma, University of Maryland University College, Indiana University, Webster University and Marshall University. Each university will grant graduate level credits for course work completed for a variety of different degree and certificate programs.

OU grants CSCDEP graduates 15 graduate level credits toward a Master of Arts in administrative leadership. UMUC grants 15 graduate level credits toward a Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Marine Corps Operations. Indiana University grants 18 graduate level credits toward a Master of Public Administration or six credits toward a graduate-level certificate in public management or homeland security and emergency management. Marshall University grants graduates of EWSDEP or CSCDEP 12 graduate level credits toward a Master’s Degree in Leadership. Webster University grants graduates of the EWSDEP and CSCDEP 12-15 graduate level credits toward any of the following graduate degree programs: Master of Business Administration, Master of Arts in Human Resources Management, Master of Arts in Management and Leadership, and Master of Arts in International Relations.
