ENGINEER EQUIPMENT MECHANIC NCO COURSE ID: A16ACU1
Phase 1- Students receive orientation. Students receive Train the Trainer instruction to include creating and performing a guided discussion evaluated by the course instructors.
 
Phase 2- Students receive instruction on Marine Corps publications.

Phase 3- Students receive instruction on Global Combat Support Systems Marine Corps (GCSS-MC), modification program and shop level maintenance management.

Phase 4- Students receive instruction on Tool room management and on the use of Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).

Phase 5- Students receive instruction on Electrical system principles, schematics, component failure, charging and starting systems and onboard diagnostic troubleshooting.

Phase 6- Students receive instruction on Diesel engines, components and sub-systems. Students disassemble, reassemble and tune engine.

Phase 7- Students receive instruction on Hydraulic system principles, accumulators, pumps, motors, valves and types of hydraulic systems.

Phase 8- Students receive instruction on Power trains system principles, torque converters, axles and transmissions.

Phase 9- Students receive instruction on Air conditioning systems principles.
