Major James Williamson
Major James Williamson is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina and an infantry officer, commissioned in 1997 upon graduation from The Citadel.
Operational tours include service with all three active duty Marine Divisions in various staff and command positions, including two combat deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Supporting establishment tours include Project Manager at the Marine Corps Institute, Company Command at Marine Barracks, Washington, Aide de Camp to the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Inspector-Instructor duty with the 4th Marine Division and Marine Corps Liaison for Special Operations to the US Army Special Operations Command.
Major Williamson is a graduate of USMC Infantry Officers Course, USMC Light Armored Vehicle Leaders Course (Honor Graduate), US Army Armor Captains Career Course (Distinguished Graduate), USMC Amphibious Warfare School (Non-resident), USMC Command and Staff College (Non-resident), US Army Airborne Course, USASOC SOF Jumpmaster Course, USMC Multi-Mission Parachute Course, High Glide Parachutist Course, Military Free Fall Jumpmaster Course and USMC Combatant Diver Course.
Awards include the Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (3rd award with Combat Distinguishing Device), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and the Combat Action Ribbon.
