Congratulations on your recent graduation from MCRD. You have every reason in the world to be proud of your accomplishments. The next step in your growth and development as a Marine is to make you a warrior. While at Marine Combat Training Battalion, you will learn our creed that "Every Marine is a Rifleman."
In order to provide you with the highest quality of instruction, I demand the utmost professionalism out of my staff. In return, I will demand from you to come ready to train and to stay motivated the entire time. The course will challenge you both mentally and physically for 29 days. In the end, you will have started your transformation into a warrior and will have the skills to fight any enemy in any climate.
To the family and friends of the Marines that are coming to Golf Company; you too should be proud of your Marines' accomplishments. They have taken on a great responsibility, and will always need your support. I invite you to his graduation on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., four weeks after the cycle begins. Please feel to contact us with any concerns or questions.

FROM THE COMPANY FIRST SERGEANT
As Golf Company's senior enlisted Marine, I would like to welcome the newest members of our Marine Corps to Marine Combat Training Battalion. My job is to handle all problems and assist you in reporting to MCT. While on leave, you will need to PT because the School of Infantry will challenge your mind and body. You will report to MCB Camp Pendleton building #520420 no later than 1500 on your report date in your Service "A" uniform with a fresh haircut, and when you report to SOI, you are not permitted to bring or operate a POV. If problems arise that may delay your arrival, please call SOI at (760) 725-7711.
To the parents and guardians:
While your Marines are at the Marine Combat Training Battalion they will be learning the basics infantry skills of land navigation, patrolling, offensive operations, Defensive operations and weapons systems organic to the infantry company.
Do to the vast amount of knowledge and limited time we have with your Marines they are not allowed to have their cell phones during training. They will only be allowed use of their cell phones during liberty hours and that is on the third and fourth Sundays of the training cycle. So if you do not hear from your Marine do not worry they are in good hands. If there is a family emergency please contact the local Red Cross or myself at the number listed below.
Marine Combat Training Battalion classes graduations begin at 11:00 on Tuesdays, there is a “Parents Brief” given by the Battalion Commander from 10:00-11:00 the morning of graduation as well. After the graduation ceremony has concluded your Marines will be given “ONE HOUR” of liberty to spend with the families. Once liberty expires your Marines will depart for their Military Occupational Training (MOS) School either by air or bus. Because of the limited time you will have with your son, brother or husband I do not recommended attending the graduation if you are not within driving distance.
If you have any questions regarding your Marine, please feel free to contact me at (760) 725-7594.
