Commanding Officer, Advanced Infantry Training Battalion

LtCol Quinn was commissioned in 1996 after completing the ROTC program at Boston University. After completing nine months of training in Quantico he reported to 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines in Camp Lejeune. During a three year tour, he served as both a Rifle Platoon Commander and a Mortar Platoon Commander, completing two MEU deployments and the requisite CONUS training cycles.

In 2000, he reported to the 3rd Force Service Support Group in Okinawa, where he served for a year in the G-3 Tactical and Readiness and Training section, providing infantry skills and field training to various detachments who were preparing for training deployments throughout the region.

In 2001, he reported to The Basic School as an instructor. He taught defensive operations in the Warfighting Group for a year, and then taught fire support, mortar gunnery and warfighting theory at the Infantry Officer Course for two years.

In 2004, he deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom as a combat replacement, joining the 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines. He then served for two years as the Lima Company Commander and for two years as the Battalion Executive Officer.

In 2008, he assumed command of Recruiting Station Louisville, Kentucky. After 37 one-month-tours, he turned over the Recruiting Station in June 2011.

In 2011, he reported to the Command and Staff College in Quantico, Virginia.

In 2012, he reported to the Enlisted Assignments section of Headquarters Marine Corps, where he served as the section head of the enlisted retention section. In 2014 he became the section head of the Enlisted Monitors section.
